Personal Air Conditioners use filtered compressed air and vortex tube technology to keep workers comfortable in extremely hot or cold areas. Personal Air Conditioners use the Model 855 or 857 Diffuse Air Vest to distribute cooled or heated air over the upper body.

Applications:
Unlike "ice pack" type vests, the Personal Air conditioner offers consistent and continuous cooling to minimize heat stress and increase worker productivity in hot surroundings. The vest allows full range of motion with no airflow restrictions and can be worn under welding leathers or protective clothing. The vortex tube unit, worn on a supplied belt, cools or heats inlet temperature by ±60°F

Diffuse-Air Vest to use with Vortex Mancooler ITW Vortec’s Diffuse-Air Vest makes efficient use of the heating and/or cooling power of the Vortec Personal Cooling and Heating System. When worn alone or under overalls or a protective suit, the Diffuse-Air Vest distributes tempered air over the upper body. The inner lining of the diffuse-air vest has hundreds of tiny holes that allow cool or warm air from the Vortex Tube cooler to flow over the upper torso of the body where it is needed most. The vest’s collar is designed to divert cool or warm air to the face if needed.
